Dropin ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.
Information We Collect
Dropin is designed with privacy in mind. We collect minimal data:
- Content you create: Messages, todos, and notes you enter into the app are stored locally on your device.
- Images: Photos you add are processed on-device for text extraction (OCR) and stored locally.
- Voice input: Voice recordings are processed on-device using Apple's Speech framework and are not transmitted to any server.
Data Storage
Your data is stored in two locations:
- Local storage: All your content is stored on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework.
- iCloud (optional): If you enable iCloud sync, your data is synced across your devices through Apple's CloudKit service. This data is encrypted and managed by Apple according to their privacy practices.
AI Processing
Dropin uses AI to categorize and organize your content:
- If you configure an AI service in Settings, your message content may be sent to that service for categorization.
- You have full control over AI settings and can disable AI features at any time.
- We do not store or access any data processed by third-party AI services.
Third-Party Services
We do not share your personal data with third parties except:
- Apple: For iCloud sync and App Store services.
- AI providers: Only if you configure an AI service, and only for message categorization.
Data Security
We implement appropriate security measures:
- All data is stored using Apple's secure frameworks.
- iCloud data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
- We do not have access to your iCloud data.
